Mustang, or the former kingdom of Lo, is hidden in the rain shadow of the Himalayas in one of the most remote corners of Nepal. They are not only hidden but also highly restricted, which makes filming there very unique and difficult. Luckily our film crew was supported by Bhuwan Bharati from Wilderness Outoors. Thanks to him, everything was perfectly organized. Since it is a restricted area, we had to get several permissions to film there- a highly sensitive and complicated process. Mr Bharati really helped us out and got us all the permission we needed. Also, thanks to his connections, he was able to handle all the contacts we had to work with. We would like to say thank you for the very professional work and we would be happy to reach back to Mr. Bharati’s service anytime. During the making of The Creator I had the pleasure of working with Bhuwan twice, firstly on our scout in 2019 and secondly during filming in Nepal in 2022. On both occasions Bhuwan played a key role in facilitating our filming, navigating the complex logistics of shooting both in Kathmandu and a remote Himalayan location. His hard work and commitment meant that everything ran incredibly smoothly and we completed our schedule on time.
